The Tech Club meets the Second Monday night of each month from 7 to 8 PM in room 104 at the Creative Arts Technology Center. We have no dues and attendance is open for anyone who is interested in anything that is high tech regardless of what they own or understand but have a desire to learn more about.
Our March 14th Meeting was hosted by Steve Simpson (Club Officer). Steve’s Meeting Topic was “CUT THE CABLE...Sharpen the Scissors”. Steve offered an in-depth presentation on all aspects on how to Cut the Cable including “The Why, Choosing Content & Being Flexible with Life After a TVIO”...”Expert YouTube Videos from Michael Timmerman of michaelsaves.com and Tyler the Antenna Man”… ”Live Demo of Streaming Hardware from Google, Amazon and Roku" and "Over the Air Signal Transmission of ATSC 3.0 Next Gen TV using a Outboard Silcon Dust Convertor Connected to a Home Roof Top Antenna"
There was much open dialog and interactive discussion during the meeting including questions regarding the following “With so many ways to stream how does one make a decision”...“Do I need to purchase my own gateway (modem + router) or just rent one from Astound powered by Grande”...”How Do I Go About Installing a Roof Top Antenna” and ”What is the Best Way to Deal with Multiple Remote Controls of a TV Set and Streaming Hardware Device”.
Our Next General Meeting Session is scheduled for April 11th and we hear from a very specail speaker our own Robson Resident “Weatherman” Jim Purpura on “Understanding Weather Using a Local and National Weather Stations”.

An In-depth Presentation of which Apple Computing Device would best meet Attendee needs based upon Budget, Practical Use and Functionality. iPad Pro Magic Keyboard YouTube Video was played with Attendee Discussion of total Cost of Newest iPad Pro vs MacBook Air. Meeting was wrapped up with Live Demo of iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard.

The Robson Ranch Tech Club meets the second Monday of each month (except August and December) starting at 7 pm at the CATC, Room 104. We invite all with interest in any technology related topics. We are growing our club and now have 54 Members Enrolled in our Exclusive IO Groups (Previously Known as Yahoo Groups).
Our July 12th meeting was hosted by Paul Marriott (Club Officer) with 11 in attendance. Paul provided a very engaging meeting of a "Unboxing & Assembling" of a Raspberry Pie 4 Mini Computer (see YouTube Video below). Attendees were most curious of all functional aspects of this device including pratical use. Paul indicated that this particular device was a Kit ordered by Steve Simpson and would be donated to the Robson Ranch Photo Club for future use with a 32" Monitor CATC Spot Light Window

We are growing our club with 50 Members Enrolled in our Exclusive io Groups (Previously Known as Yahoo Groups).
Our June 14th meeting was hosted by Steve Simpson (Club Officer) with 14 attenddes. The presentation by Mike Weaver (Cub Member) covered a very popular topic...”Grande…the Ins & Outs . Attendees were informed and engaged to learn more about all aspects of Grade Data Plans, Equipment and Service Calls. Also, Mike provided an overview of various streaming hardware and apps with attendees inquiring about how to incorporate these into their current home entertainment systems. Paul Marriott (Club President) presented on Google Voice as a possible alternative to Grande Home Phone. Steve Simpson (Club Vice President) concluded the meeting with a recap of how well Grande Service Techs performed with a data issued he personally encountered in the month of May
